Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure used for skin rejuvenation, fine lines, wrinkles, skin plumping/ texture, scars and  hyperpigmentation.

Micro-injuries are created in the skin with small needles at a controlled depth. These tiny punctures stimulate the body's natural wound healing process, promoting cell turn over and the production of collagen and elastin. This leads to fresher, healthier, renewed skin!

The micro-channels created during the procedure also allow topical products to penetrate beyond the skin barrier to maximize efficacy.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a regenerative treatment that use a concentrated portion of a person's own blood to promote healing and rejuvenation.  The patient's blood is processed to isolate a plasma rich in platelets.  The platelets are what are crucial for tissue repair. 

 

Platelets are packed with growth factors of various types and cytokines (anti-inflammatory factors).  When injected or applied to a target area, PRP releases these concentrated proteins, which stimulates cell proliferation (healing), collagen and elastin production and new blood vessel formation!  This accelerates tissue repair and regeneration, making PRP a natural booster for healing and rejuvenation!   ​

If this is your first PRP session with me, a Telehealth or in person consult is required. It is vital to understand your systemic and blood health prior to any PRP treatment. To provide you the best product and outcome I will recommend a personalized supplement regimen for 2-4 weeks prior to your blood draw. I will also make a tailored supplement recommendation to ensure optimization of your outcome post procedure.  I will review your most recent blood labs (possibly send you for updated labs), understand diet/ exercise, and goals before making a recommendation. This is vital to your treatment.

Depending on desired results & response, a series of treatments may be recommended in addition to maintenance treatments.

What to Expect:

Expect 3-4 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance every 6-12 months. 

 

Hair growth isn't instant. You might notice less shedding after 1-2 months, with thicker hair appearing around 3-6 months.

Ongoing sessions are often needed to sustain results, especially for progressive conditions like pattern baldness or thinning. 

 

Expect mild discomfort from injections; however numbing creams in & local anesthesia are used. 

You will have some mild scalp soreness, redness or swelling for a few days post procedure.  

Red light therapy is.a treatment that uses low-level wavelengths of red (630-670nm) or near-infrared (800-900nm) light, with some blue to stimulate cellular function. This principle is called photobiomodulation, where specific wavelengths of light interact with cells to stimulate biological processes. These processes include healing promotion, inflammation reduction, tissue repair enhancement. When used alongside platelet rich plasma treatments, the effects of both treatments are synergistic and can be magnified, resulting in better outcomes.
